Chelsea vs Bournemouth – Live Streaming (Premier League)

The Blues from Stamford Bridge are currently basking in the glory with an excellent 11 games unbeaten run. The Antonio Conte managed side has the perfect chance of making it 12 wins in a row when they host Bournemouth on the Boxing Day. But they will have to do this without the services of two of their top Generals – Diego Costa and Ngolo Kante. Both men will be serving one game ban having reached the yellow card limit during their week 17 game at Selhurst Park. However, Chelsea sits top of the log and will still top the log irrespective of the result week 18 brings.

Bournemouth suffered a heavy 3-1 defeat at home to Southampton last weekend. The Cherries came on the back of an impressive 1-0 win over the defending champions Leicester City. And they will be disappointed for not being able to back it up with another positive result. Bournemouth will however be  traveling for the first away games in 3 consecutive league clashes. In addition, Eddie Howe led side have only been able to manage 1 win in their first 8 away league games this season. The Cherries sits 10th on the log with 21 points gathered from 17 games.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth: Head-to-head stats

Bournemouth produced a shocking result when they visited Stamford Bridge last season. Glenn Murray scored the only goal of the match with 8 minutes left on the clock to earn a 1-0 win for the Cherries. However, Chelsea responded well in the return leg thrashing their opponents 4-1 at the Dean Court.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth: Prediction

In recent times, Chelsea have always been the favourite of every clash. Although the blue goal scoring bullet have reduced, the London club still fight hard to get their required 3 points as expected. On the other hand, Bournemouth have been dismantled in their away clashes with the 2 of the league’s top 4 teams. Therefore, I will predict a straight win for the Blue with another clean sheet in their bag.

And expect Eden Hazard to step up in the absence of Diego Costa and he may well get into the score sheet early in the first half.
